had organized 5 Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme through DST, Department of
Science & Technology -NIMAT under Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India
sanctioned vide letter No. EDII/DST-NIMAT/17-18/153 Dated 26/04/17.
with the objective of
Creating a conducive Startup ecosystem among students
To instill a process of Startup culture and build confidence for new Startups
Create awareness and process of Starting a Venture
The Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme(EAP) was conducted as under:
The First Entrepreneurship Awareness programme was conducted for students of 6 semester Mechanical Engineering
students at the Seminar Hall -1. Expert resource persons from Academia, Consultants, and
successful entrepreneurs handled the sessions for three days from 15th of March 2018 to 17th
March 2018. Around 76 students participated in this programme.
The Second Entrepreneurship Awareness programme was organized at the seminar hall -2 for 4th semester Mechanical
Engineering students. Expert resource persons from Academia, Consultants, and successful
entrepreneurs handled the sessions for three days from 15th of March 2018 to 17th March
2018. Around 113 students participated in this programme.
There was a common Inaugural session by Sri. H.S.Shama Sundar, Chairman & Founder,
President, Skill Development & Research Institute, Bengaluru addressed the gathering.
The
sessions were handled by Prof. V.B. Nandagopal, Chief Executive spoke on why
Entrepreneurship? Characteristics of Entrepreneurship anfd importance of Entrepreneurship to
the nation. Other sessions were handled by eminent personalities like
Dr B.P.Mahesh, Professor, JSSATE
Dr. Anand kumar R. Annigeri, Professor and Head, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, JSSATE
Deepak Hebbur, Co-founder and CEO, Skillfinity
Mr. B.S. Vikram, Placement & Training Officer, JSSATE and others.
The last session was from 3.15pm to 4.30pm. The session was “Interaction and Feedback”. Prof. V.B.Nanda Gopal spoke on
writing a Business Plan which is viable, Bankable and feasible. He spoke at length on
technical aspects of a business, Pre-feasibility study, structuring of a business, financial
aspects of a business and in brief about launching a business.
The students were taken for Industrial visit to M/s. Unnati CNC, Peenya Industrial Estate.
Mr. Narayan spoke to the students and explained to students about various components
manufactured and its procedures.
The Third Entrepreneurship Awareness programme was held for 6
th semester
Engineering students of Electronics & Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation,
Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Management from 5th to 7th April 2018.
The sessions were handled by Prof. V.B. Nandagopal, Chief Executive spoke on why
Entrepreneurship? Characteristics of Entrepreneurship and importance of Entrepreneurship to
the nation. Next session on “Business Opportunities Vs. Risk” by handled by Sri.
M.S.Jayachandra Aradhya, Chief Executive, Silicon Microsystems, Bengaluru. He explained
about the business opportunities available and the risks involved in starting an enterprise.
The next session was “Meeting a Successful Business Person” and was handled by Sri.
Bhanu Prakash. He gave a Motivational talk on his experiences as an Entrepreneur which was
very well received by the students.
Other sessions were handled by eminent personalities like

Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, JSSATE, Deepak Hebbur, Co-founder and CEO,
Skillfinity Mr. B.S. Vikram, Placement & Training Officer, JSSATE.and others. The last

On the third day the students were taken for Industrial visit to M/s. Capronics Pvt. Ltd.,
Electronics City. Mr. Shivaram, Managing Director, M/s. Capronics Pvt Ltd., conducted the
visit. He gave an introduction to M/s. Capronics Pvt Ltd and the basic idea with which he
started.
The second visit was for the students of “Civil Engineering”. About 42 students
visited the construction site in Global village.
The fourth Entrepreneurship Awareness programme was held for ICT students of
Electronics & communication, Computer Science and Information Science Engineering
students from 19th to 21st of April 2018 at the Seminar Hall -1. Around 100 girl students
attended the programme.
In this regard Oracle one of the gigantic software corporate consented to partner and
organize a ICT Girls day in the campus.

Next Big Things: AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent BOTS, Block chain & IOT for Businesses and careers with them.
Fun ICT Game
Why we need to see more women dotting the tech world’s mostly male landscape.

For the first session which was held between 2.00pm to 3.00 pm, we had invited Mr.
R.Bhanu Prakash, a young MBA graduate who had started his venture 4 years back.
Presently, his business is around 1.5 crore with about 8 employees. He has established
himself as a job creator. He spoke about relevance and importance of a prefeasibility study
and a market survey to understand the market, its potential, cost and other variables. The
second session was held between 3.15 pm to 4.30pm by Mr. Venugopal BookBeka.com,
Alma mater of JSSATE. He essentially described how joyful it was when one of his ideas
was received by 4 of his classmates and today they have reached sales of 60 lakhs and have
employed 10 engineers and have moved to a separate building. The third session from
4.30pm to 5.30pm by Prof. V.B.Nanda Gopal. The title of the Programme was “Planning to
Start Business Facilities, Issues and Strategies”. Prof. V.B. Nandagopal spoke about the
Characteristics of an Entrepreneurship, the thought process of an Entrepreneurship Risk
taking systems of an Entrepreneur and finally the session comprised of fear of success and
fear of failure and sense of efficacy.
Other sessions were handled by eminent personalities like Professor Balaji, MBA Dept.,
Dr. Anand kumar R. Annigeri, Professor and Head, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering,
JSSATE, Mr. Vasuprasad. H, Founder & Director, Lotus Entrepreneurship Research
Academy.
The last session was
“Interaction and Feedback”. Prof. V.B.Nanda Gopal spoke on writing
a Business Plan which is viable, Bankable and feasible. He spoke at length on technical
aspects of a business, Pre-feasibility study, structuring of a business, financial aspects of a
business and in brief about launching a business.
On 21st An Industrial Visit was organized at GINSERV where there are about 40 Startups and
500 employees. The willing students was taken in a bus. Around 70 students participated in
the visit. The student’s interacted with the Startup companies Busy Bee.
Fifth Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) was conducted on 19th to 21st of April
2018 at Seminar Hall-2. Around 93 Engineering students from all branches attended this
programme.
The sessions were handled by eminent personalities like Mr. Venugopal, BookBeka.com,
Alma mater of JSSATE. He essentially described how joyful it was when one of his ideas
was received by 4 of his classmates. The second session was from 3.15pm to 4.30pm on
“Challenges of being a Successful Entrepreneur”. We had invited Mr. R.Bhanu Prakash, a
young MBA graduate who had started his venture 4 years back. Presently, his business is

H, Founder & Director, Lotus Entrepreneurship Research Academy who shared the
experience of a Practicing entrepreneur fear of success and fear of failure and sense of
efficacy. He explained to the students about Entrepreneurship, Idea generation, planning,
Challenges of being an Entrepreneur through various games, interactive sessions.
On 21st An Industrial Visit was organized at
GINSERV where there are about 40 Startups
and 500 employees. The willing students were taken in a bus. The students interacted with
the Startup companies Busy Bee.
