JSSATEB-STEP has organized the DST (NSTEDB) sponsored six weeks online Technology
Entrepreneurship Development Programme on “Internet of Things and Embedded
Technology” for a period of 6 weeks from 17.05.2021 to 26.06.2021.
TEDP is a structured training program of 6-weeks duration designed to motivate and develop
entrepreneurs in specific products/technologies/processes developed by CSIR labs, R&D
institutions, universities etc. Since this is a digital program, we had advertised in facebook,
Whatsapp, Instagram, Linkedin and other digital platform. We were able to reach around
10,000 people and had got nearly 235 registrations and based on DST criteria and personal
interview shortlisted 33 candidates looking into their interest in Entrepreneurship and Internet
of Things technology.
The Inaugural function of the Technology Entrepreneurship Development Programme was
held online on 17th May 2021 at 10.00 am. After the Inaugural function we had an
Orientation programme and had interaction with all the participants and the stake holders and
discussed about their views, aim and objectives and also about objectives of the programme.
The next session started off with Tech track sessions on Internet of Things and Embedded
Systems Introduction to Embedded Systems, Systems Architecture Overview, Introduction to
Hardware design and Interfaces, Introduction to Internet of Things (IOT).
Mr. Prakash Sonwalkar and Mr. Madhu Hardhur from M/s. Pradin Technologies handled
these sessions.
The EDP track covered the salient aspects of Entrepreneurship traits, Fundamentals of market
research, Selection of projects & right target customers, Feasibility study / DPR,
Consolidation of business idea, Pilot launch, Go2market strategies, Working capital, BEP
analysis, Business modelling, IPR , Pitch deck preparation etc. They also provided insights
on the various seed funding options, how to develop teams & Leadership attributes to sustain
and grow in the Entrepreneurial journey.
Samuel. K. Sudhakar and Dr. Balamurugan from M/s. Growth Hacking Partners handled the
above topics involving & engaging all the participants in an extensive, interactive sessions
using break out rooms, relevant case studies, videos and assignments etc.
We had sessions on both EDP and Tech track on Internet of things and Embedded systems
alternatively for 6 weeks through online mode.
Finally we had Valedictory function on 26th June 2021 and all the participants of the programme, College Dean’s, Head of the Departments, Administrative officer were also present. The online certificates were distributed to the participants and the feedback of the programme was collected by them.
