JSS Academy of Technical Education –Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park had organized
two 3 day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp sponsored by NSTEDB-EDI, Department of
Science & Technology, Govt. of India under DST-NIMAT scheme for the year 2018-19.
The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students of Engineering about
various facets of Entrepreneurship as an alternative career option and also to highlight the merits
of perusing such an option. The course was delivered by the team of Experts from Academia,
Consultants, successful entrepreneus etc., to make the students understand about why
entrepreneurship is important, how can students become entrepreneurs and what is the reality of
entrepreneurship in India.
The awareness program was based on workshop methods which can engage the students to start
thinking like an entrepreneur.
The First Programme was held from 1st April to 3rd April 2019 for students of Computer Science,
Information Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering students of JSSATE. About
75 students participated in the programme.
The programme started off with an Inaugural function with lighting the lamp by Sri. Vinod,
Chief Operating Officer, GINSERV, Dr. Mrityunjaya V. Latte, Principal, JSSATE, Bengaluru,
Mr. Alban Jerome Head, Strategy and Partnerships, Dharma Life Sciences who addressed the
gathering and gave an introductory speech.
The sessions was handled by
1)
Alban Jerome -He is responsible for Strategy and Partnerships
at Dharma Life Sciences. Has over half decade experience in sales, marketing and go to market
POA. Has been instrumental in building and rolling out the differentiated go-to-market solutions
& programs via community partners.
2)
Mr. Pranav Mishra who is a Product Manager at
Dharma Life Sciences. He has done extensive research in the field of behavioural neuroscience,
psychology and genetics to improve human potential.
3)
Ms. Harshita Chalam Manager of the
Solutions Team at Dharma Life Sciences. Harshita helps communities of entrepreneurs, leaders,
students and wellness enthusiasts take their first steps towards achieving their goals.
4)
Guruprasad Rao, from Indian Start-ups-He is an Experienced Consultant with a demonstrated
history of working in the education management industry, microfinance, Investment banking and
Business/Knowledge Process Outsourcing.
5)
Arjun S Meda from Indian Start-ups-He is an
Automation Subject Matter Expert and has 12+ years of experience in IT industry. He has
worked in India and US working directly with the clients in implementing Automation
capabilities. Heads the Bangalore chapter for Indian Start-ups.
The Second Programme was organized from 4th to 8th of April 2019 for students of Mechanical
Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Civil Engineering and Electronics &
Instrumentation Technology. About 180 students participated in the programme.
