JSSATEB-STEP has organized two week offline Faculty development programme on "Opportunities & Challenges in Entrepreneurship” from 15.03.2021 to 27.03.2021. This programme was sponsored by DST-NIMAT (NSTEDB), Government of India through Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII). Around 27 faculty members from different Engineering colleges attended the training progamme. Expert resource persons from Academia, Consultants, and successful entrepreneurs handled the sessions.
JSSATEB-STEP has organized Six weeks offline "Technology based
Entrepreneurship Development Program” on Drone Technologies from 05.08.2022 to
17.09.2022 sponsored by DST-NIMAT (NSTEDB), Government of India through
Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII). Around 26 Engineering and Science
graduates attended the programme.

This program was sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India-Ahmedabad to JSS-ATE, Bangalore, organized by JSSATE-STEP, Bengaluru. Total number
of participants registered were 40 and 25 potential participants were selected on their interest
& enthusiasm towards learning Entrepreneurship. Participants were given 4-week intense
training on Garment manufacturing and self-employment after training participants were
found confident enough to set up small unit starting from their home and few participants
were interested to learn in-depth about the industry and express their interest towards getting
trained in garment industry, and 2-3 group of women wanted to start their own entities.
Sufficient skillset, motivation and support extended by project officer and resource person
Mr. Chandrashekhar & Trainer Ms. Chitra Saraswathi to support & handhold them to set up
their dream startups.
JSS Academy of Technical Education –Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park had
organized three 3 days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp sponsored by NSTEDB-EDI,
Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India under DST-NIMAT scheme for the
year 2019-20. The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students of
Engineering about various facets of Entrepreneurship as an alternative career option and also
to highlight the merits of perusing such an option.
The course was delivered by the team of Experts from Academia, Consultants, successful
entrepreneus etc., to make the students understand about why entrepreneurship is important,
how can students become entrepreneurs and what is the reality of entrepreneurship in India.
Three programmes were conducted and students from different branches of Engineering
college attended the programme. The awareness program was based on workshop methods
which can engage the students to start thinking like an entrepreneur.
The first programme was held from 18th February to 20th February 2021 for first year
engineering students of Computer Science and Information Science students of JSSATE.
About 98 students participated in the programme. Expert resource persons from Academia,
Consultants, and successful entrepreneurs handled the sessions for three days.
The second programme was held from 12th March to 15th March 2021 for first year students
of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering students of JSSATE. About 99 students
participated in the programme. Expert resource persons from Academia, Consultants, and
successful entrepreneurs handled the sessions for three days.
The programme was held from 16th March to 18th March 2021 for first year students of
Electronics & Communication and Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering students of
JSSATE. About 111 students participated in the programme. Expert resource persons from
Academia, Consultants, and successful entrepreneurs handled the sessions for three days.
The concluding session was “Interaction and Feedback” Here the speakers interacted with the
students and clarified their doubts about Entrepreneurship, starting a venture, start-ups,
various schemes in the Government, Incubation space etc.
We were able to create awareness among engineering students about the various facets of
Entrepreneurship as an alternative career option and also highlighted the merits of perusing
such an option.
